Southwark
Just in the heart of Southwark, a short stroll from London Bridge station and Tower Bridge, Borough represents central London living at its greatest. The area had got its name from a time when it was the only borough outside the City of London. Beyond the jurisdiction of the City authorities, the area was a playground in the 16-17th century famous for its theatres, inns plus the ill-reputed Southwark Fair that was shut down in the sixties after being deemed too decadent.
